Green Tea Cuts Risk of Gastric Cancer by 40%

Participants: 139 people with newly-diagnosed gastric cancer compared to 2,852 people without gastric cancer

What happened: People who drank 10 or more cups of green tea per day had a 40% lower risk of developing stomach cancer than those who drank 0-4 cups per day.
 

Researchers' conclusion: “A decreased risk of gastric cancer was… noted among those with a high consumption of green tea (10 or more cups per day.)
